The PSNE Group, Inc is a family owned company located in Taftville, Connecticut.
The company started out as Pedorthic Services of New England (hence PSNE) in 1974 to service residents in state institutions that had special footwear needs. The Taftville retail store opened in 1983, servicing custom shoe needs for people with foot and health problems. In 1988 we started selling BIRKENSTOCK sandals in our retail store.
In 1992 we started tested out the mail order business. We advertised in magazines asking readers to call our toll free number to get our BIRKENSTOCK catalog. In 1996 we had our first website it was a very simple site with a sign up form for visitors to request a catalog. In 1999 we had our first e-commerce site.
Today The PSNE Group is one of the largest online shoe retailers in the US. We have 4 great sites that specialize in some niche markets.
The PSNE Group is still operated by founder Jim Moore, C.Ped (Board Certified Pedorthist), his wife of of 37 years, Gail and their daughter Heather. They are assisted by a great staff that shares the same values and commitment of selling great products at reasonable prices and delivering awesome service.
